Question:

I have a fan going out in my CPU. I am pretty sure it is my power supply fan. I may need a whole new power supply. Could you tell me which one I may need. When I open up my case, the power supply says Powerman. Output is 235 watts. I have a Pentium 2 processor. Is there any other info you may need.

Answer:

In this case, you will need to replace a new power supply. Powerman 235W power supply was discontinued, but you can order 300w to replace the bad one, simply go to the following link http://mypccase.com/pcworstatpow.html  and you can purchase a new one there.

Question:

I have this Case and really like it I have a problem and have been trying to find a way to fix it Problem On my first boot-up at the start of a new day I can't get the computer to come on, I sit an giggle the switch till it comes on seems to be getting worse after I get it on the rest of the day I can shut down and it comes right back on with no problems How do you explain this.. I need someone that knows more than I do about this. Has this model ever had problems with the switch or anything. I would buy a new switch if I thought this would help. Thanks.

Answer:

I would suspect two possibilities that caused your problem. One - The switch You may try to open the front panel of the case and start the system without the cover button on the panel. If it still doesn't work, than you can change the switch and try again. Two - The power supply If possible, you can change the power supply and see if the problem still exists. Hope these two suggestions can help you.

Question:

I'm interested in one of your aluminum cases: CONQUEST-DP350. I have two questions before I buy it: Is the front part aluminum too? Is it suitable for P4 up to NORTWOOD 2.4 CPU?

Answer:

The front bezel is made of plastic. The 350W power supply can support P4 and up, however, we haven't got a chance to test its compatibility with NORTWOOD 2.4 CPU.

Question:

Thanks for the info. I appreciate you taking the time to help me out. If I purchase the power supply from your company, what is your return policy if it does not fit. Do you take credit cards. What would be the total cost of the order including shipping? Is there a restocking fee? How long will it take to ship the part? Please advise. Thanks.

Answer:

It's my pleasure to assist you. Per your inquiry, the answers are: Return policy, if the power supply doesn't fit your system, you can return it to us. Simply fill out an RMA form and send it back to us. We do accept credit card. You can simply order it on line. The total cost will depends on your location. To calculate the exact shipping cost, I would need your shipping address. Roughly, from our place(California) to NY for this power supply cost around $8-$9. We do have a re-stocking fee, it is 25% of the product cost. Say from California to New York, it takes approximately 5 to 7 business days.

Question:

Many of your cases come with a P4 power supply. Will this work if I get an AMD processor and motherboard instead of a P4? I really like your selection of cases.

Answer:

Our power supplies support Intel Pentium 4 as well as AMD processors. The reason why we emphasize on the word "P4" is because Pentium 4 processor requires special connectors from the power supply and extra holes from the case, which, AMD processor doesn't. Our power supplies can support AMD CPU and motherboard.

Question:

Could you please tell me if either of these units supports an AMD Duron 900mhz CPU: EN-8341934A1 & EN-8304946, and if they are the proper choices to replace a 'Powerman' model #:IPS-1506? If they are not, could you recommend a replacement for the above unit?

Answer:

The power supplies EN-8341934A1 (340W) and EN-8304946 (300W)support AMD Duron 900 CPU. I couldn't find the power supply specification of IPS-1506. I guess it should be a 150W power supply. Could you please tell me what is the size (dimension) of the power supply and what is the Watts? With this information, I can help you to find a power supply to substitute your old one.

Question:

I have a question on your Hermes ATX Midi Tower . I like the style and features but it says its Pentium ready only. Will this case work with AMD? Board will be an Asus A7M266 or an A7V266-C with Athlon 1900.

Answer:

The Hermes ATX Midi Tower is suitable for AMD system as well. The reason why we states the case are Pentium 4 ready because P4 requires special holes on the case and special connectors at the power supply. In fact, most of the case and power supply said it is P4 ready nowadays can support AMD also.

Question:

I am installing a Pentium III slot and these guys really need all the air circulation you can throw at them. I am using a double fan heat sink and will install that front end one, I have heard the heat song many times....Thank you.

Answer:

The 80mm fan in IW-H500 is an optional fan, which means there is a space for customer to install such fan. However, the fan does not include in the case. In normal system setting e.g. motherboard, CPU, one HDD, one floppy, and one CDROM, an extra case fan may not be necessary for ventilation aid because the case vents at the back, the power supply fan and the CPU cooling fan is sufficient to support stable temperature inside. Some user may prefer extra fan for additional cooling purpose, and this is in fact an option to them. An additional case fan is recommended only if multiple HDD is installed or the CPU cooling fan is not sufficient to stabilize the chip. You can find the 80mm fan in most of the computer hardware stores. Again, the need of the additional fan is only an option.

Question:

What is the difference between the UPS Commercial and the UPS Residential besides a couple of dollars? Will one get to me faster than the other?

Answer:

The difference between UPS Commercial and Residential is cost UPS charge. UPS will charge customer more when states Residential because they may need to go to the resident address more than one time as resident address doesn't always have someone there to receive the shipment. On the other hand, UPS Commercial will cost less because there should be someone in the commercial area to receive the shipment during daytime working hour. There is no difference in terms of transit time between Commercial and Residential.
