Overview
The EliteSTOR ER316FD+B is a 3U rack-mountable dual 4Gbps Fibre Channel hardware RAID rackmount for high performance storage. Designed to increase the return of investment, the ER316FD+B is designed with SAS expander technology, allowing the connection of up to 7 additional ES316X+B SAS JBOD storage units (a maximum of 122 drives), It is capable of achieving a total of 244TB of storage space using the latest 2TB hard drives. Users are allowed the flexibility of choosing between high performance SAS drives or cost-effective / high capacity SATA drives. Built-in features such as online migration and expansion allows changes to be made to the RAID configuration without data access downtimes. Users could also select from global or dedicated spare drives, as well as hardware supported RAID 30/50/60, for extra protection when used in a large array. The ER316FD+B RAID subsystem is also capable of supporting single or multiple RAID volumes, with different RAID level configurations. Management can be done remotely using built-in web-based management interface. E-mail, SNMP and alarm notification are available for monitoring critical RAID status. Featuring durable, heavy duty steel housing and a user-friendly LCD display, the ER316FD+B meets intensive data application demands, and is suitable for video editing applications.

- Multi-purpose - Supports both SAS (Serial SCSI) and SATA hard drives to meet the requirements of different applications with different price / performance characteristics. Cost-effective SATA drives could be used for capacity orientated storage such as disk-to-disk backup, data-archiving, and digital video editing. Enterprise level SAS drives could be employed for I/O intensive applications such as transactional databases.
- Easy management - Built-in web based management allowing administration via web browser without the need for additional software. LCD control and serial interface management are available when a web browser is not available. SNMP and e-mail notifications are also supported.
- Built-in redundant power supply - Hot-swappable redundant power supplies are included for protection against power supply failure. Power supply status could be easily monitored via the front LED and alarm alert.
- All hardware included - SFP module, Fibre cable, cooling fan, tray modules and built-in mounting rail are included. Expand your storage capacity by simply connecting a ER316FD+B to a Fibre Channel controller or Fibre switch.
